PM Creates His Own Social Media Platform Following Facebook Split

PHNOM PENH: Prime Minister Hun Sen is preparing to have his own social media platform developed following the deletion of his Facebook account. He said the app is called Happy Watch 99 and promises to eventually have similar functions to Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube.

On his Telegram channel on the night of July 12, the Prime Minister announced the mobile app is available and is currently streaming his own TV station, SPM HD TV, to provide information quickly to people at home and abroad.

In addition to being able to stream HD TV, he says the app will also add features similar to those that young people use on Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube.

He added, "Happy Watch will be created and managed by Cambodians and for the benefit of all Cambodians.”

People can download Happy Watch 99 via the Play Store and the App Store to see how the new social media venture unfolds.
